Hi Chris,
Cool mate......Will be watching this progress. Your shako mounting holes look a bit high on Bromhead's F.S.H.
I'm pushing you on this one:D
cheers
Richie

P.S. How are you fixed Martini Henry wise!!!

Great work so far watching with great interest. I think the reflective scene will work very well indeed. Keep it up.

Hello Steve,
Thanks, I know there's a few different ways and options I could go for this project, just feel this is right for me in this particular instance.
Chris.

Hi Richie,

Thanks, I'm glad you're following along, and the higher shako mounting holes (I presume the airholes of the helmet) is noted, will adjust.

As for the Martini's, yes, my castor is doing a 3D printed Master that he's tweaking and will cast them from there.

I still have your 1/16th dimensions for the mealie bags that you sent a few years ago, will come in handy ;).

Chris.

Hi Chris, it’s always best to go with how you feel makes for a better project. I know when we have ideas we send them to the sculptors and let them turn it into what they see it going like. With Eduard he just takes what we suggest to a different place. So just keep doing what your doing it works very well.

Hi Chris,
Good to hear you are sorted with the Martini that saves me posting one to the cuddy wiffer in Oz:D.
I have attached what the shako plate holes are, hope this helps. If you attached the cap badge to this position it would stick up over the crown of the helmet mate.(y) You can see the reverse of the shako plate the mounting lugs location.
If you have done the same to Chard alter these also.
cheers

Current progress of the Chard and Bromhead project.
I finished with his right leg and decided to re-do the left leg with the tighter creases, especially the thigh.
Adjusted the helmets adding the extra panel (6) adding the badge holes, then did some cutting and drilling.
Then started the top half once seperated from the bottom with magicsculpt.

Another masterpiece in production.
It's really good to see how the various stages of its production bring the piece to life.

Thank you very much Malcolm. It's a bit of back and forth right now. Want to get the fit right before I proceed. I probably make life harder 5han what other sculptor's do, not sure.

Sculpting looks so easy when the professionals do it.. Although I think I could manage to get the bit of sculpting putty to stick to my thumb nail... but that's about it I'm afraid..:D
Looking forward to seeing the finished figures..
