Hi Paul

Certainly a productive early start there , the green works well and I do like that collar ...this is going to be a lovely piece and with the other a lovely vignette as well

Thanks for sharing the update and mixes

Thank you gents. :)

El Greco did their best for me as usual (top company for those who haven't tried them) I ordered some Magic Sulp about 10.00pm and it was in the post the following morning - Many thanks(n)

When it arrived I was able to have a play with it and start putting some uniform back on the second figure (Nice putty to use by the way)
Due to my inherent clumsiness I opted to do a little bit at a time and let it harden before moving on (How Borek and others manage with Bee's putty I've no idea - hats off to you folks) I started with re-shaping the ends of the sleeves and the new collar. Once these were dry I added one side of each of the coat tails and the shirt tips peeking out of the collar. I also added the boot tassels using Duro at this point. A couple of further sessions saw the coat tails done and the cuffs sorted. For the front I cut a paper pattern and rolled out some putty on glass with talc nice and thin then cut out he shape and put it on the figure when it was still slightly soft. Once dry I tweaked it a bit with a scalpel. The epaulet's also been added (part Historex and part Duro)

Here's a few shots of it progressing.
Cheers for now
Paul

Just wanted to post a quick update of the second figure. :)
Basically finished the head and bicorne apart from a bit of final fettling; been slow progress this week because I was slightly sidetracked by wanting to paint something (which is now nearly finished) I must say the more I try to do the more I am impressed by those folks who do this for a living (y) (I seem to need to make everything twice before I'm happy with it)
Hats off to all you sculptors out there . . .

Stay safe
Paul
