Saddle cloth details…

Attached some progress pictures for the saddle cloth decoration. Is done in three different step: the first one is done with a mix of burnt umber, gold powder and some Mussini’s chrome yellow.



second step was to paint the highlights, they were done with a Mussini’s chrome yellow mixed with some Mussini’s Naples yellow light. Different shade was done and placed in different point according to the light position.



third step was to put a thin dark line around the drawing. This dark line help to clean the drawing and was done with a mix of dark red and blu. The cornet was intended as built over a separated piece of cloth, for this reason the darker outline is bigger.
