Thanks Rod

you mentioned in another thread you were putting on a Historex seminar. Is it an open seminar and if so what day is it on?
I'd be very interested in that

This will also be my first Chicago Show. Family matters have precluded me from bringing anything this year, so I'm going to take lots of photos and have a great time.

I'm also looking forward to meeting lots of folks I've chatted with in 'cyber-space' and spending the grandson's college fund!

See you all there!

Uh-oh, are walking into an American modeller's turf war?:nailbiting: Paintbrushes at 10 paces :blackeye:
Now I'm really looking forward to this :sneaky: Haven't seen a good old fashioned "rumble" in ages :blackeye::dead: Woo-Hoo!!!

Four more sleeps!!!!!!

No rumbling in the exhibition area!!:p

Actually I'm going to give Steve as a reason we go to Shows. I started noticing his name in the exhibition area in Chicago for a couple years but didn't have a face. Every year I could see his work growing better until one day I spotted his nametag at breakfast and we had a brief talk. We have been friends ever since, he became a top painter, and you would not want to meet a more standup guy. This doesn't happen on the internet. The best friends I have had in my life are the people in this small hobby through clubs and shows.
When I seen the banter on here between the Brits before the Euro Show, I have to say I felt a bit jealous. I didn't understand some of what they were talking about o_O but could get the good natured ribbing as this is exactly what goes on between good friends before shows.
Anyway, enough serious stuff. Back to the fun stuff.

Yeah Bob, I hear ya. I wish our small NA modelling comunity was a little more concentrated like in the UK. Our little informal group here in Southern Ontario is spread out over almost 150 miles... makes it hard to stay close in person.
That's one of the main reasons I look forward to this show, to meet up with those I have spoken with here and put a face to the name and work.

I too like some banter and a few chuckles... but an old fashioned rumble could be good for a laugh too ;)

See you in Chi-town

THREE MORE SLEEPS

Colin

Colin is our MC and banter king i think. Nice to know you have name tags available. I will have to read and memorize before i spend too long in the hospitality suite and am no longer capable.

LMAO Glenn is carrying his own stuff this time, just got myself a new case and its going to be secure, just bringing the mounted Strathcona for this one

Had visions of OJ crashing through the airport leaping luggage....except catching his toe on Ray's. Looking forward to seeing the Strathcona :)

Colin & Colin,
If you're coming through Winsdor, there was a strip club there that if you go in the front door and out the back, you end up in the US, no passport or papers needed.........oh, wait.........I remembered that wrong, you'll end up in the US all right, but WITHOUT a passport, papers and much of anything else! :ROFLMAO::LOL:
