citadal paints

Hi guys

Anyone tried the new citadel base colour paints thru an airbrush ,and if so what are they being thinned with.

I have the orange I thin it with plain water as before.

Yes I agree. Just water!!!!! Takes a bit more water I have noticed than the old citadel. I have been mixing like 70% water. Just dont use alcohol!!!

I have sprayed Citadal paint by thinning them with Isopropyl alcohol before.. It looks horrible and when mixing it, but I never had any problems at all..

Well Dave I would say your lucky!! I added the 90% alcohol and it turned into a toxic xludge in my airbrush! Took me hours to clean it all out!

I am not versed with the airbrush so I ask this question. What does the alcohol do that water wouldn't?

Mike its just a different type of carrier. Alcohol tends to help mix the paint into the aerosol form in the airbrush chamber I think!! I am sure Einon can explain better!
