Niiiiiiiiiiice job, dude! I think the groundwork definitely goes with the figure's pose to sort of "tell a story." Will it be on the auction block at Tulsa? ;) No show for me this year due to OPEC

Very nice John, you did an excellent job and everything pulls together just right.

John, EXCELLENT work on the figure (y) . The only thing I can see I like better is the overall composition. Some painters (myself included) excel at one part or another in figure painting but are lacking in others. This is certianly not the case here. As Roger said, evrything pulls together. Very well balanced. It really does speak volumes about your ability. I must be a little selfish here though. I learn a lot from just watching how you do your composition so keep it coming! I need to learn more ;)

Thanks,
Jim Patrick

Dear John, excellent works!

In addition to the way that you painted your figure, I also like the way you paint the cobbled path and the base on the two pillars. Very meticulous.

Hey John!

Looking great :)

Saw this figure in the flesh today and the pictures sure don't do it justice!

I also took a few pics, I'll email them to you soon John.

John,
Excellent balance, and the figure completes the story you are telling...wow...very nicely done. For me, one of the greatest parts of this artform is the creative freedom the figures give to us. What you have done is show how by simply adding landscape and groundwork, a completely different story can be told...

Very nice! ;)

All the best,

Patrick

John,EXCELLENT WORK on the vignette;I really like it alot (y) (y) (y) !!! Thanks for posting and looking forward to the next masterpiece from you. Cheers !

Pete, I don't think so. I think I'll put up one that's made through the whole show circuit. The Cockrell's Brigade or the Perseus.

Thanks all for the compliments.

John, Very very nice. The figure and groundwork compliment each other really well, love the cobblestone path.~Gary
