Folks- What color do you see in his coat, labels and such? Socks?

My guess based on this picture would be various shades of dark green.

Oda.

Reckon this could be painted in any of the various uniforms in use ...lots on www

The box art represents Virginian Militia

Happy painting

Thanks Nap, I have lots of reference materials as well, the photos I have of Virginia Militia at the time of Guilford Courthouse. show blue coats...
My wife says this looks "teal to her" so that's why I posted this. I do have trouble with greens and browns so the lapels and cuffs gave me some issues!

Outside of the coat: mostly teal-grey but some patches are more green-grey. Lapel and inside of the coat, I'd say moss green. For what it's worth, my eyes on my monitor ...

As far as the Virginia militia's coat is concerned, it'd be a dark blue, ranging from Prussian blue to navy blue. I know that the image in the box art photo looks like it tends towards a greenish shade, but I think that's more of a trick of the light and of reproducing/presenting the image digitally. Those examples that Nap shared provide good illustrations.

The Virginia Provincial Regiment of a generation earlier in the French-and-Indian War was clothed with blue coats with red facings, too (cf the picture of Washington as a young officer).

Prost!

Lots of options posted above. Reading them I'd tend to go with dark blue and green facings. Again I think it was just poor lighting of the figure because it does look teal as stated previously. As far as I know I don't think there were any teal regimental colors.

According to Washington's General Order of 2 October 1779. Virginia regiments were to be blue coats lined white with red facings (Leffert, p10). Deserter reports in the same source give a variety of uniforms, Blue coat (1st, 2nd Virginia although one in the 2nd is a brown coat), light blue drab coat with pale blue facings (3rd Virginia) hunting shirts, (4th, 6th and 7th Virginia but 7th also has pale blue turned up with red), purple linen coat turned up with green and brown linen coat turned up with white (5th Virginia), and light brown coat with red facings (9th Virginia)

Virginia State Troops - 1st Virginia State Regiment striped Virginia cloth while the 2nd and 3rd State regiments are blue coats turned up with red.

Take your pick , but you won't go wrong with a blue coat and red facings.

Cheers
Chris
