Johan,
In person that jacket does look more brown than grey. At least to my eyes :)
Matthew is right about the sky blue for the facings on an infantry uniform.
That yellow on mine is because I chose to portray him as cavalry.
Sorry I didn't think to mention that to you
Good catch Matthew :)

Thanks Craig.

Well, I'm starting on this figure this weekend ! He's got a nice pose, with his left foot on a rock ... I'm thinking of making him go up a slope, with one or two dead pine trees (as fallen trees)

... can't help it but Old West and American Civil War always make me think of pine trees - shade of my past, as a kid I used to play "soldier in blue" against indians or rebels in a place where there were lots of pines ... pine cones of course came in handy as ammunition.

Paul,
Here's my mix for those gloves..
Base color:
Mix Mars Yellow and Burnt Umber, lighten with Naples Yellow
Shadow color:
Burnt Umber
Highlight color:
Naples Yellow

Hope this helps :)
See you in Wilmington! (man that sounds strange)
Craig
