I found this photograph today and it's pretty interesting. It shows a group of Confederate prisoners taking the oath of Allegience. There are other photographs of Confederate prisoners, but this is the first time I've seen this one.~Gary

WOW, Gary! Whatta gem!! First I've seen it too. I'll bet this could create a little buzz in the CW community. Thanks for posting it.
 
I have seen this image before. I believe it was on ebay. I do not remember of the one on ebay was the original or a copy of the original image. Very interesting image. I like how the American flag is drapped aross the ceiling of the tent.
 
I do not know why the link will not work. I've posted it twice. Anyway the photo was taken in May or June of 1865 and may represent some of the last Confederates being held there taking the oath. I wonder if other images were taken that day. One can only image the glass plate negatives that were broken containing priceless images such as this that are now lost to history.~Gary
