Okay, well, seeming I've got four daughterds, sorry daughters, and the first two are heading towards this particular young ladies age group as well as the arts, ones applying for a fine arts degree shortly, I just hope they can handle criticism. I'm sure this one is still living at home, gets everything bought for her, clothed and fed etc etc. Wait a minute, sounds like mine

Yeah Tony, have seen better and worse, I think they said she's usually doing fashion design so she's definitely out of her comfort zone, oh well.

I can sympathize with the poor girl, I felt like doing that when my wife said one of my figures looked "a bit odd"!

When I was doing my degree, we had regular "crits", where we had to talk about our work in front of our peers and take questions and critcisms. As a designer/modeller in industry, too, crits were a regular part of the job, as were design meetings. You have to get used to it and it does actually help you to develop your skills and techniques - cant see a problem, myself!

Maybe this should be posted as a sticky on the forum about how not to handle criticism. It seems we sometimes do see similar behaviour in PF threads..! ;-)

I don't like the skintones by the way, but she didn't stay until I could make that comment....
