Look again, the very first picture shown, is by P Conrad, click on it, enlarge it, and ... it's blue
But, it's true you can find exactly the same plate by conrad .... in green

Now; Gros has seen the uniform, Conrad not

I have a set of conrad plates disk ,but on some of them the colours are out with greens showing as blue , this is probably because they have been copied many times , so going with the Green uniform .

Thank to all who contributed to this thread , Esp my two Scottish pals who were a bundle of information :D

Hi Guys ,
Whatever colour Ron chooses it will be a great model

Murat was always a little flamboyant to say the least

I have seen a bust painted in a white uniform as well !

Indeed it was a white uniform of similar cut but that was for a different regiment in his Neapolitan army. I've a book about his uniforms - interesting character indeed...

Cheers

I thought I left standing orders to give me a shout when a thread turned silly:(? Anyway Murat only wore white as snow cammoflage.
That being sorted, I feel sorry for some future planetfigure member 200 years down the line with a figure of Prince Charles "I dunno? Was he in khaki, red or navy blue?" "I thought it was air force blue?" "No, that was when his others were in the wash!" "I thought that one was sky blue?" "Naahh! that was Marius Goering" "Well what colour was his horse?" "Were they still using horses then?" "Only ceremonial, anyway he's in a carriage" I thought they stopped using them a n 'undred years before?" "Yeah they did, THAT was just ceremonial!" "Ohhh?"
:arghh::arghh::arghh::arghh::ROFLMAO:
Best wishes, Gary.
