Look again, the very first picture shown, is by P Conrad, click on it, enlarge it, and ... it's blue
But, it's true you can find exactly the same plate by conrad .... in green




Now; Gros has seen the uniform, Conrad not

I have a set of conrad plates disk ,but on some of them the colours are out with greens showing as blue , this is probably because they have been copied many times , so going with the Green uniform .

Thank to all who contributed to this thread , Esp my two Scottish pals who were a bundle of information

Indeed it was a white uniform of similar cut but that was for a different regiment in his Neapolitan army. I've a book about his uniforms - interesting character indeed...

That being sorted, I feel sorry for some future planetfigure member 200 years down the line with a figure of Prince Charles "I dunno? Was he in khaki, red or navy blue?"
