I've always enjoyed the anachronism of Cossacks during WW2 , so I decided to be brave and do my first ever mounted figure. Started with Dragons excellent Don Cossacks re-shaped his torso slightly and added a modified Hornet head.
Comments and advice are always welcomed.

Looks really good so far.A very interesting subject indeed and so far a great conversion.Looking forward to seeing more of it.

The horse looks a little funny, needs some more work to bring out the contours and shape. Also think the figure would fall of riding it like that

I love this posture.Excellent conversion and scratch building work!!!!

Thanks.
I have the Osprey one and their Axis cavalry book, both a good read.
I've also found enough info and pictures to understand how the horse furniture goes together, Dragons instructions are so vague its not funny.

Small update.
