How good is that!(y) Absolutely acceptable on here I'd say, as they demonstrate all the skills and techniques applicable to human figures. Fine work Adrian.
I sympathise with you on eyesight issues. I have them also. Glad you are sorted.

For what I know or what I don't know about dinosaurs; they look good to me. But what I do know is that the older I get, the harder it is to finish a piece. So that being said......Keep up the good work.

Wayne

Thanks Wayne.
In my case I am happy to say I’m getting better at finishing things.
Only thing is I’m getting even better on starting new projects. :)

Cheers

Those dinosaurs look great to me Adrian as does the scenic base, the water does look good and standing water does have ‘dust’ on it ;)

Thanks Graham.
Actually, I did get some unwanted air bubbles, but they led to the idea of the floating leaves. Never waste a good crisis!

Cheers

Outstanding effort & a project to be proud of Adrian.
Get sense of gentle character with both of these fellows.
Groundwork really compliments them & tells their story.
Especially like water, this adds natural depth & stillness for your scene.
Inspiring & thanks for sharing.
MikeTheKiwi

Thanks Mike. Glad you like them.

Story is they are startled by something. Always difficult to get a story in a diorama, so hope this is recognizable.

Cheers

Not one figure but two figures. Very nice atmosphere to the piece and great work on the water; the rings look very realistic.

Thanks!

I would have liked to make the rings smoother, but only after finishing them I came up with the idea how. Well, there is always the next diorama...

Cheers

Excellent work. As far as I know, they do count as figures. I hope this doesn't set off a spirited discussion but don't they count horses as a type of figure? Regardless, this would be right at home as a museum exhibit,

tom

Thanks for your nice comment Tom!

Hi Adrian

Glad the eyes are sorted

Great to see you posting the models and as far as I am concerned a figure .....and they look really good , nicely painted and presented

Do keep us updated on more projects especially what's "sleeping" on the shelf

Happy benchtime

Stay safe

Nap

Thanks Nap.

Hope to get going on my backlog now, although I’ve always been a slow painter.

Cheers

Great vignette with many nice details, incl the dry branch above the water level indicating that the water has been still for a while and the footprints which will presumingly remain long after the creatures disappear from Earth. The dinosaurs look both exotic and realistic - excellent painting job!

Thanks Sergei.

Good eye about the branch. That’s exactly how it was planned!

Cheers

Excellent finish, Adrian! Both the animals and the base. I like the color scheme you gave them, it looks natural, not too fantastic.

My apologies for asking, but I didn't see this mentioned in the posts-who makes these figures? I take it that they're resin (I don't know of anyone who's put out an adult Parasaurolophus in styrene).

Prost!
Brad

Thanks Brad.

I forgot to mention they are 1:35 Tamiya Parasaurolophuses. They were slightly modified to make them a bit different. Tamiya already offers an alternative neck/head option, in addition I bent both tails to make them a bit more dynamic.

For colours I tried to tie everything together by sticking to a consistent grey/brown/orange scheme. I considered blue crests, as a complementary to the orange water, but ultimately settled for a reddish colour.

Cheers
