Hi Ron ,

Nice piece mate , like the way the figure is sculpted as well , head down fighting a Russian snowstorm and the bitter cold ....little bit of snow and rust on the metal parts ...like the colourscheme you have used as well

How did the bust go together ...any filling or prepwork to do apart from casting plugs to remove if any ?

Thanks for sharing

Nap

Hi Ron,
Sorry for jumping in late, if I had a Cuirassier's helmet I would doff it in homage to your sublime work. This is another stunning piece, I really like your style of painting. As others have said please be sparing on the weathering and just let it enhance your superb work and not mask it.(y)
cheers

Hi Nap, and thanks for comments. Very pleased you like him.
Very nice sculpt and excellent casting. As far as prep work goes, I had to remove some resin in the left arm socket to get a snug fit, a little bending to get the chin scales snug to the face, which is important as the shabraque is a close fit when in place.
Out of choice I hollowed out the cuff on the left coat sleeve. Gave a better sit to the hand, and allowed the coat tail to fit very snug at the back.
Other than that and a feint mould line along the top of the plume, (at the top of the helmet) front to back, all good.

Regards

Ron
