Dan's Somme vignette

Thank you Marc. I too would like to visit the Hill 60 area. I have a medal isssued to a soldier of the London Irish Rifles who was kiled in the area, April 1917. He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Menin Gate.

I'm pleased you like it Dan. It's taken longer than you might think. Since I came home I've worked on this from very early in the morning 'til, well, very early in the morning.
I thought it only fair to do that as two weeks of this leave will be spent in France and you never know I might like it so much I might not come back

Many thanks Sebastien! Roger - I felt like that about France a couple of times myself! My family and I really loved the Dordogne region. Spent a lovely two weeks camping around in that area in the 80s.
