I'm working right now in this cool bust from JMD from a collector, I guess this one is more fantasy than historical but for me is a very nice sculpt work...
Mix for the flesh:
Base: Brown sand + a bit of azur and plum pink (Jo Sonya)
Lights adding basic skin tone, and highlights only with basic skin tone
1st shadow adding burnt cadmium red and second shadow adding violet red
Color tones with violet, purple, plum pink, old rose and some english uniform

This is the best painting of this figure that I have seen. Your work on the face is first class. Very well done my friend, I am really looking forward to your work on the uniform.
I am not sure what you meant when you said " I guess this one is more fantasy than historical". For me this represents the 77th Regiment Middlesex Corps of Drums on the ridge at the Battle of Albuera. As seen in the Lady Butler painting 'Steady the Drums and Fifes. http://www.artrenewal.org/pages/artwork.php?artworkid=41581&size=large
The yellow coat and lace looks to be correct although the buttons may be a little too far apart. I think that there should be 7 on the front of the jacket and at this spacing I do not think you could fit in 7 buttons. Keep up the great work my friend, Keith
Hello guys and thanks for your comments
Laurent the bandage is mix dark color of white, I mean dark white cause is a rusty bandage. Is a mixture of medium grey + deck tan, lights adding off white and shadows adding some english uniform and finally some raw umber, some color tones with violet and medium blue
Keith I not mean the uniform I mean the character, looks like zombie cause the guy has a shot in the chest and terrific damage in the face and still alive, is an unusual bust but very cool.
Very cool, I like this. I wasn't that keen when I first saw this fig, but after seeing your brilliant work on this I'm looking at it with new eyes. Thanks Karl
