Does anybody know if the Reiter style of armour was worn during the English Civil War at all ? I know the armour was, I mean the black/white finish ?

Thanks Rog it's the actual pattern/finish I was curious about thought it would make a nice finish to a figure as opposed to the solid black style

Okay I get your drift now. I'll do some more searching but I can see no reason why it wasn't worn.

No I can't either but not sure if it was just purely on the continent or an earlier period that it was in use, I've seen it with a browned finish too which also would be interesting to do

Also worth bearing in mind a lot of British soldiers had fought in the Thirty Years War, possibly acquiring armour on the continent, then there's foreign mercenaries...... go for it.

Agreed Rog I probably will just wanted to confirm with somebody who knows the period really as you say it was quite the done thing to go adventuring in the years prior to the ECW
