Stunning work Brian and your weathering is outstanding. So glad you added apiece just on the flag, always a tricky colour with so much yellow.

A couple of years back I saw a youngs Cameron highlander bust Waterloo painted very much in this style at euro militaire was it by yourself smudger??? Love it by the way great fan of weathering like this

Nice job and always a pleasure to see some individual style rather than a rush toward commonality. Your version is very distinctive yet very evocative of the period. Love it!

Brian excellent painting and well worth the wait . That's some hardcore realistic weathering mate and if any figure truly deserves the title "After the battle" this one does.(y)(y)

Cheers Ken
Thanks ken for your kind words i'm glad you liked the finsh mate (y)

After all the wait what a terrible disappointment ;):D
Seriously what a fantastic job Brian. I like everything about this, weathering throughout is top class.
Hope to see it later in the year (y)

Cheers del, glad you liked it mate (y)

Very nice Brian (y) Definitely a smudgerism :) Great weathering face is good also ,and yellow what can one say ! not the easiest of oil colours to handle
your method sounds good. One little minor point Brian ,the sword knot seems to be defying gravity ;) :)

ron
Hi Ron,many thanks mate for your kind words,i know what you mean about the sword knot, that was my fault as the box art shows the sword more pointed to the ground whereas my sword angle is horizontal,i did'nt want to mess with it in the end as i was affraid i might snap it,hope your keeping well mate (y)
