I managed to get there both days for the first time and had a great time, it was nice to put faces to names from PF at last. Thanks to Peedee, Red Tom, Pete, and Old Taff for their hospitality (and cake and biscuits) it was good to meet Mick, Nap and Janne as well as the guys I had known from previous years. I was able to show a couple of paintings from My Facebook page https://m.facebook.com/Scott-Milroy-Portraits-583701888403878/?ref=bookmarks
Hopefully I will have a 3D piece to show next year. Thanks to all for the inspiration and to the guys who put so much on the line to organize the new show. I hope it goes from strength to strength.
Scotty.

First of all I want to appologies for speaking to soon, a bad habbit of mine, as I today found out I had to pay only£10 for my display with 5 models.I'll try to think before I'll write in the future, or don't write at all. I don't find it very polite though to be called an idiot just because I vented my opinion in an civilised, and I think polite, manner. And this is the last I'm going to say about it.

Couldn't make it this year (the first time I've missed "Euro" since 2010) but the overall vibe I'm getting is that it was a very good show, and I'm looking forward to being back for the 2018 shindig.

Well done to the organisers for breathing some much-needed new life into a hobby institution. (y)

Hello, All!
I've never had the chance of visiting Euro. Before, I had no money, nowadays I have no time.
Mitches has been very kind posting some pics in their facebook site. Could any of the attendants show some of the figures displayed there? Or, do you know about any site where those who couldn't get there, could see a little bit of the Exhibition?
Thanks!

Iñaki

The new show brought out some of the magic, great atmosphere. The comp room was busy like old times making my job harder, which is how it should be.
I know I've already mentioned this more than once, but I really wish I'd been there yesterday.

Anyway great news. Get your Diaries out.
Adrian has text me to say next years show will be on the 22/23 September 2018

Wahooooooo

Greetings.
Re Euro Miniature Expo 2017.
Some may recall I had quite a lot to say about last years debacle, but that is now history.
So This year. I attended both days I felt that Saturday was as busy with foot fall as in the past couple of years at Euro, Sunday was a lot quieter. I felt there was a good smattering of traders that covered most areas of interest, I was able to purchase every thing on my list . Unlike other years.

The Floor layout that had been slightly changed in the main hall IMO was a great improvement it gave more space and cut down on congestion and blockages around the main floor. This allowed people to stop at stands to look/ purchase but still allow the free flow behind.

In Comparison to the competition room I felt was a bit of a squeeze as you had people head down arse out focusing the camera and you only needed one either side of the isle and you were stuck as you dont feel you can squeeze past in fear of mucking up there picture. Just my thoughts and maybe worth a look at if others felt the same.

I Have heard /seen some adverse comments about the set up of the competition. I wont make comment as I did not enter anything and never have so anything I say would be invalid, however I did overhear in the bar that the competition was fairest judging for many years.. I did feel that entry numbers were down on past years, but the qualatiy was still there.

Finally I would like to say Thank you to the Guys who bought the show back to life. We all know its a thankless task and you can't please everyone and I'm sure there will be slight changes for the better next year. I know the lads want feedback so please give it to them but PLEASE make it constructive.

Last & not least thanks to the likes of Paul ( Peedee) who gave up a lot of his time to man The PF stand and look after the exhibits. Great job Paul. and all the ladies & gents behind the scenes stewarding etc.
All in all a great weekend Thank you all.
Mick

For the first time I was there for the whole weekend. And what a weekend it was.
Great organized show (better then last years) a vendors room where you finnally get around without stepping in toos from somebody.
Yes, it was a great weekend and the PF table was awesome. Thanks to Paul who so my struggling when our club got to go home on sunday. I believe I got 10 times up and down.
Old Taff said: this is the funny part of the weekend.
I do know that the organizers will manage the complains and if there are shortcomings for the next year.
Looking forward to it.

Marc

With reference to our Display on Saturday

Thanks to Old Taff, Mark Megroot, Nap, Red Tom, Pete North Snr, Scotty, Preda Steve, Frank, for adding to the figures I brought, and to Andy for displaying his super trench sections to much acclaim.

Thanks to Taff Huw 63 for keeping me amused all weekend with the twinkle in their eyes and ready quips, to Dewi, Malc and Janni for popping in to chat in Welsh corner', and to Mike Butler for his encouragement, enthusiasm and charm.
In the belief that you can't have too much of a good thing, I shall request more space next year and extra cake.

To Jim Evans thanks for the biccies, they were tastier than they have any right to be !
Thanks to you all

I am struggling to get the video to load up

Please add any pics o the stand that you may have.

I have to add Pegaso's new stand was awesome.

Malc

I recognised their wonderfulness as a satanic temptation to my bank balance, and so kept a respectful distance at MOST times. Huw and Alan held me back thankfully.
But they couldn't save me from Steve Kirtley, CGS, Historex, Jon Page, and Nap.

Can someone tell me what Graham's new releases were on the CGS stand,I didn't see anything posted by him with regards to show releases prior to the weekend

Hi Brian
I know we just chatted about this...
so ...just in order that the question isn't replied to here, Gra had a brand new French Imperial Grenadier standard bearer in bearskin and greatcoat huddled into the wind by Carl Reid.

Ir will be announced on the new fig pages by Gra and Bob
in due course.
