Ordered 0.05 copper plate from the wonderful Evil bay
What I got was a lump of metal thick enough to to armour plate the Bismark
This was meant to be for making reins and harnessing 54 mm models .

Why I ever bother with this lot ; as they always disappoint .
So now looking for something witha little bit of body which will hold shape and easy to cut as the stuff that comes with MM is good but if you gotta reposition after painting it flakes off too easy .

Hi Ron,
Go to Aldi buy a tube of tomato puree for about 50p, make some wonderful Italian dishes with the contents and then cut open and wash out the metal foil wrapper, hey presto loads of metal sheet suitable for straps, reins, slings ect.
cheers
Richie;)

Mama Mia , stupendo :D

Mine was the same Ron, small sheet at £5.00! totally useless as so thick and stiff. Will stick with my lead foil sheet I think.

Cheers
Tommi

Hi Guys ,

The Chimp recommended going to a company called Troutcatchers ( a fishing site ) for great lead strip ideal for straps etc ..well worth a look
