Hi all;

I've been waiting for months to get something done in order to share it with you all. Finally, I have almost finshed Andrea's chuckwagon, with the exception of a few touch ups and details. But I couldn't wait anymore, so here it is, almost done. I do look forward to your comments and criticisms.

Thanks.

Hi Glenn

It looks great!

Looks like they are good boys, and do their dishes all the time!

Cheers

Beautiful work Glenn.............one of my favorite topics too.......the American Cowboy. I was able to visit the Cowboy Musuem here in Oklahoma City where they have an exhibit with the chuck wagon and camp scene. I have the kit you show and hope to start on it this coming winter. Keep up the terrific work.

I really like this model and I think you've done a great job with it. I have just reread Larry McMurtry's "Lonesome Dove" and this reminds me of it. It will look even better when you dirty it up a bit

Hey Cookie! Sling some more'a them beans on muh plate and pour me another cuppa coffee!

Your painting [and the kit] are amazingly life-like. Wonderful job!

The whole scene looks like a Norman Rockwell painting. [Oops, I'm giving away my age.] I hope you aren't insulted by the comparison. People either seem to like ol' Norman or hate him.

all the best,
Dan

Thanks one and all. I appreciate the comments. Dan, I think it's kind of you to compare this work with Rockwell's. His paintings are pure Americana, and I think that's what Andrea was going for when they made this. I will be adding a little more weathering to it, so it should appear appropriately "dirty" soon. :)

Glenn

Great piece, Glen, ... and very well painted. If I could, I suggest maybe a bit of weathering to make these hombres look a little more trail-worn. I have had this on my list for a while, and you have inspired me to move it up. Keep up the great work.

Nice work Glenn :) the complete diorama is tottaly great, maybe I will add some more dust over the pants of the cowboys, some touch from bottom to top and some dark shadow washes in the wood...
Great work!

Well, I hope you're all pleased, because my wife has been giving me the old "I told you so" in regards to adding more weathering to the dio. But I also think you're absolutely right. So I'm headed off to the basement right now for a little mud slinging session. Thanks again for all your comments and suggestions. You've made my wife very happy. ;)

Hey Glenn, thanks for posting your pics. I'd post mine but I haven't even started on it yet! I really like the "look and feel" to yours. Very rustic. Don't go too overboard on your weathering as you already have a VERY nice looking doi on (in) your hands (y) .
