Nearly missed your response Roger Bit of a butterfly at the moment with models of different era's popping up all over. Usually I'll choose a model I like the 'feel' of rather than one from a particular period. That said I am rather partial to the 19th century . . . lots of interesting uniform development and still bright and attractive. One of the attractions of flats is the wide range of subject matter well off the beaten track such as figures from fairy tales and books as well as the less popular era's of history. (A big advantage of this sort of stuff is the latitude that it gives when painting)
