Hi. It's been a long time since I posted much - summer, kids etc.
Just completed MiniArt Guardsman, in oils over acrylics as usual. I used the matchlock from the Musketeer kit (included in this one too).as the blade for the rapier was so badly moulded.
Not a bad kit, if you've ever made a russian tank kit you can probablyget a good idea what this is like to build!

Not bad Dave! Interesting kit. I think the crosses on the cloak are well rendered. It may be the photos but it looks like he could use just a bit more punch in the shadows and highlights.

Jay, the crosses are decals, so I can't take the credit for them! You could well be right about the shadows etc - I forgot about 'camera effect'. when I painted this!

I agree with what Jay suggested, but I must say, you are improving with every figure.

I can say to you that to me it appeals ..... sure you have still wide margins of improvement....... to even work more on the aces...... but what it counts mainly is to amuse itself....... I augur you good job.
