This section of my WIP is complete and since the other part bears no relation to this at all I'll pop this on the completed section on it's own.

Two of the figures as provided in the ICM "French-Prussian War (1870-1872), French Line Infantry" set. Really nice figures to work with, though the heads were swapped for Hornet Heads and I replaced the sword blade with a photo-etched brass one and the hand guard for a Historex spare part. All painted in acrylics.

Cheers Kev, pleased it was of interest, though the thread still has a little way to go till the Belgian Guide is finished.

Am I allowed to enter the vignettes & diorama comp as I have another entry in the figure comps?

Will bring them all to Bugle.

These have turned out really well and look great on the base. Very evocative of the period, I love the officer's facial features.

Nicely done Simon, they have come out really well and make a neat display.

Cheers Rob, they have been entertaining, my first vignette is quite a few years but mostly I've learnt a lot about painting and I have you to thank for that across a few threads.

Cheers Nigel, also have you to thank in helping me improve my painting. I wanted the longer grass to be framing them from behind, might not be as professional as after market grass but I find doing it this way quite cathartic. I can't take much credit for the faces, just the facial hair and colouring in, Roger Saunders is a rare talent.
