Fantastic work Roc. I had a chance to buy this kit from a friend's gray army but opted for the Chassuer Chevel instead. You are doing a remarkable job with this figure. I am anxious to see it finished.

Hello Roc, I like the blue effect, can you say me what tones used ? specially in the ligths.
I follow this sbs carefully.

Alex.

Hey Guy, I hope you had a terrific birthday, you are like a good wine, and you get better with age.
I'm glad you like the figure so far, I still have a long way to go.
The Chasseur Cheval is a great figure; you should have talked your friend into giving you both figures .

Cheers

Roc. :)

Hey Alex, Thanks for following my step by step.

Dark blue:

Base= Windsor blue + Ultramarine blue and a bit of Mars black.
Medium highlight = Cerulium blue + Lemon yellow.
High highlight = Medium highlight + a little bit of Titanium white.
Medium shadow = Base + more Mars black.
Deep shadows = Mars black.

The colors were applied wet on wet.

I hope this helps.

Cheers
Roc. :)

He seems to be glancing to his right? Perhaps some Scots Greys sneaking up on him?

Looks really good, Roc. Now waiting for the ground work!

Great work indeed so far Roc. I really admire your painting since you paint in oils as i do :) I'm curious to see your ground work. As Keith said he is looking a bit on his left. Did you do that in purpose?
