Thanks Keith,

The difficulty with camouflage is keeping the pattern distinct and clear while also shading and highlighting effectively.

I also intend to add some sweat stains using oil paints to round out the weathering effects, and these too will have to be subtle so they don't cover over the camouflage patterns,

Hi Tony,
I have never tried to paint camouflage, your thread here has got me itching to try one. Thank you for that.
Can you tell me the best reference to find out what pattern camouflage should be used in particular theaters. I am thinking of
Afghanistan this century.
Keep up the good work Mate
All the best,
Keith

Thanks guys,

I value and appreciate your comments .

Keith, if you want a challenge take a look at the multi-cam pattern Gells is painting on his 200mm British figure from Afghanistan. That's an incredibly difficult pattern to reproduce.

Cheers Brian, thanks for your comments mate.

I've been experimenting with my new Nikon digital camera lately, and took a few new pics of this bust. I still haven't worked out how to adjust the white balance so they may look a bit dark.

Excellent painting Tony, the face is incredible, really sets off this piece. Good luck with your new camera also. Regards, SG:)(y)(y)

Looks really good Tony, and the new pics are 10000000000 times better, you can actually see how well you do paint and the fine detail that you put into each kit. Excellent and see you Friday
Ben

This really is a revelation Tony, with the new camera we're finally seeing how well these pieces are painted.
I reckon once you've mastered the new Nikon you should post a collection of photos of some of your previous pieces.
