Hi everyone

Saw this on social media from Steve Kirtley

"Mike Blank has now painted the box art for the last figure in the SK Miniature's range. It's the Austrian Hussar casually posed & enjoying a smoke of his pipe. It's in Mike's usual scale 65/70mm & is available either via my website or via my eBay shop. However, you can also message me here on FB https://www.facebook.com/skminiatures

or via [email protected] if you are interested in this one."

You'd best ask Steve it's a quote !

Certainly hope it's not the last !!

Ah okay, you didn’t put it in quotes so I thought it was your own words.

I have noticed that a lot of non-native English speakers often say “last” when they really mean “latest”. As in “this is my last figure”. I’m a bit OCD about this stuff because it’s my bread & butter and I pick up on it straight away. But I know you’re a native speaker so I thought maybe you knew something we didn’t.

I do not pretend to be a native speaker, but according to the Cambridge English dictionary, ‘last’ means, among other things, ‘most recent or most recently’. Having said that, members of some professional groups, usually in hazardous sectors and occupations, are indeed sensitive about the usage of last.

The figure is beautiful, as always.
