General Colbert at Waterloo. Wounded at Quatre Bras, Colbert nonetheless led his Red Lancers at Waterloo with his arm in a sling. This is the Bonaparte’s 200mm bust, sculpted by Carl Reid a few years back. I have added a few details to his czapka and epaulettes, and painted him in oils, inks and acrylics.

As Peter put it WOW! .........think this is the best version I've seen ..like ve tge small additions and the red....like me the bandage and glove painting

Can you just advise how you painted the Aguilette ...looks excelkent

Why not enter a piece into the class of your choice in our JULY's FOTM comp and also vote in JUNE classes as well

....And enter in Vignettes & Diorama #3 running till 31/01/22 ...msg me if needed

Thanks, Nap. That is most appreciated.

In regards to the aiguilettes, I painted all of the lace, trim, cords, etc. with combinations of the three colors in the attached photo. The Bone color is used as a highlight, and I added a bit of white to it for the highest highlights on areas that catch a lot of light.
