Great start, he looks outstanding. I have never done a H&G figure, are you happy with the quality?

Thanks Joe and Larry for your comments....
Larry this particular H&G figure is very well sculpted and the quality is good but is the only one H&G figure that I have, so I can't tell you too much about this H&G figures...

Ernest: Very good placement of light and shadow !

Larry: H&G have older fiigures which are not that crisply sculpted but the later and last ones all should be good. They use good metal and do a kind of microsandblasting to their figures which give a good surface.

And one should not forget their 1/48 figures and lately even 1/72.

He is coming along nicely Ernesto :) keep up the good work. I can't wait to see your little man finished.

Hello evry one I would like to paint the pants of the little soldier in another pattern, something like the SS camuflage pattern to avoid the monotony of the field gray, but I don't know if that historical posible in this kind of soldier, could you please help me with this?

Thanks

ER

Hi Ernesto
You can not paint a SS camo pattern on this Gerbigsjäger's mountain trousers.
You could remove the Whermatch and edelweiss insignias, model new ss insignias and model gaiters in the trouser's lower part. Then you could paint ss camo.
cheers

Italian camo (mod.'29) and a pattern resembling the Fallschirmjager camo was also weared by the Wehrmacht troops.

About the first, on the axishistory's forum there is a really good picture:

(here the full post)

To get an idea about the second, look here.

There was some uncommon case of ss camo used by the Wehrmacht too:

"Waffen SS camo were also used by the Wehrmacht at some occasions, when they could get hold of the camo, they used it. if you take a look in the book 'Panzergrenadiers in action' by signal publications, there's a pic of two wehrmacht soldiers wearing ss camo, and they'r not from the Polizei division."

Hi Ernest.
An SS member would wear a death's head on the bergmutze.
And he's wearing officer's belt but is a lance-corporal
