beautiful. I tried this one too. I did have problems with fixing the gun to the figure. For that reason it disappeared in the box. Maybe giving it another try.

@Rob (yoshi) and others that want to build and paint this figure: I was impressed by how well the two arms and gun fit together, but some filling was needed of the space between the gun and the body. I placed some magic sculpt in the indentation in the body where the gun should be and then pressed the right arm/gun combination into it to get a contact fit, without a gap between body and weapon.
For painting I left off the right arm/gun combination. After paint I fit it to the body, filled a very minor gap at his right shoulder and retouched the paint along this seam.
I advise to think about mounting of the rifle sling before attaching the right arm. I found the sling the most tricky bit actually.
@Pedro: It's indeed a rather simple base, but I had a lot of trouble with basing this figure. The base you see actually is the second one I made. The first one had much thicker, melting snow, with dry grass peeking through. I took quite some time to make it, but when finished, I didn't like the strong contrast between the white of the snow and the rather dark figure. I wanted dark wet mud, but also some snow, since the figure has a scarf and gloves. So what you see is the compromise that came out! I'll post a picture of the first base later (please don't tell me you like that one more)

@Fokionas: Glad you like the shoes. The experiment was to try matte colours over the satin undercoat. I don't remember all colours I used, but base was vallejo leather brown (why not?). I shaded and highlighted as normal and then applied a vallejo satin coat, stipled on with a very short brush. I then outlined all main features with very dark brown (matte again) and went over the highlights with matted down light earth colours.
What i don't like is how the gloss turned out. It is glossier and thicker than I intended. Next time I'll try this, I'll be using thinned future floor polish. This gives more control over the gloss, building several layers, and somehow looks 'thinner' and more leathery (I think). When I did this, my floor polish had not yet moved to my new home!

Adrian, this is your best work, I follow you for so long and when I wrote "ordinary", (I may have been unfair) is because I´ve always expected great stuff from you, like you showed to us this time in this top notch figure. I wish I could paint and do my figures like you do.

Pedro: Here's the first version of the base, with thicker snow. I liked how the snow itself turned out, but the base didn't fit the figure.
Snow is a mixture of white sand (for a sparkle and texture), some microballoons (to keep it white) and white glue.
