Hi folks,

Just some pics of my latest effort commissioned by one of our club members. It depicts his father who was in 23 PFA, RAMC at Suez in 1950 and is a composite, based on several typical National Service style photos.

Sculpted in Milliput and Duro, around 1/9 scale, painted in acrylics. Base is English Oak, laser cut nameplate and a miniature replica medal attached. Shoulder titles are decals by me, as are the Div flash, but the wings are hand painted.

This will be at Cosford, tomorrow, but, unfortunately, I won't, due to a clash!

Thanks for looking,

Steve(y)

Thanks for the comments, guys. Its been on the bench a long time, this one, due to lots of other things getting in the way. Itll be very strange having a space on my bench when the guy come to collect it later!(y)

Cheers Nap - I'm pleased with the decals, a bit of a cop - out, but it needed to be precise! As the only pics of "Ginger" were in B and W, the guy who Ive done it for had a pic of his nephew who is, apparently, a spitting image of "Ginger", so I based the skintones on him.
