Can anyone think of a Vietnam era Green Beret figure done in 120mm or 1/16th scale? I think New World Minis had a bust, but I think that was larger too. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Gang,
I did see that the PMC Special Forces bust is 120mm which I may have to use. I'm mainly looking for the head/beret and the PMC one seems to have a big, teeth-showing, smile, not ideal but maybe. As far as the Warriors one, it's 200mm (if we are talking about the same one). Sol released a 200mm soldier carrying a dog that I think was labeled as a GB or SF too. But again, wrong scale.

Any thoughts on maybe using a 120mm Alpine or VP British Para beret/head and changing the markings?
What are the other differences? I'm sure there are more - aren't there?

Thanks all,
Steve

Mark,
I'll take either or both...or even just a good Green Beret head that I can Frankenstein to a converted body.
I'm just surprised they are as hard to find as they are.

GetAttachment.jpg Its the 'Beret', that is the issue, Not readily available. However! have a look at 'Dog-Tags', 120mm, French'F.Legion, figure! easily converts to Vietnam. they were there!.. Also check Verlindens Special Forces figure, again 120mm. Other than that, it's hard hats, Andrea 1/8 'Flower-Power', or Verlindens 'The Grunt'. Or you can look at 'Dog-Tags, character heads, 2-sets, and mould a 'Beret'.

Best.

Mark,
I believe the beret is flipped the wrong way on the Dog Tag figure and I'm ideally after 120mm or 1/16th scale parts.
To get the correct beret, I may have to simply look into converting a Brit para and be happy with that...lol.

Thanks,
Steve

TBH you'd probably be better just sculpting a beret than trying to turn a UK beret into a US one

Hmmm...Hey Alpine and/or others... see a market void? lol...
I may be bias but I'd think a figure even similar to the 1/35 Bravo 6 shown above, would sell well in 1/16.

Thanks all,
Steve
