Hi All,

I haven’t posted any work in a while. That’s because I have been hopping between projects, progressing a lot, but not finishing anything. To get some results I’ve moved forward this Alpine figure I am painting for a friend. Here’s some progress pics.

Uniform and base are quite far. Head and lots of details still to be done. All in acrylics, except the rabbit fur lining of the hood, done in oils.

Hope to finish this project soon.

Regards
Adrian

Hail Adrian,

How I have not been here for a long time. I can't get past it. Saw Alpine and in the 16th.
Camouflage is just Perfecto! High light shadows how rhythmically everything goes, I follow.

Adrian, your friend is a lucky guy. This is excellent indeed. 100% spot on. I don't really do WWII Germans but I have always fancied this one.

I know nobody likes a pedant, but remember to put the head on before you give it to him...(y)

Being lazy, I'm just gonna say ditto to what everyone else has already commented.:D

Your friend is going to be a proud owner of an Alpine and Ferris creation!

Am I to read that you're doing the face last? Unusual as I reckon 99% start with the face. Is there any particular reason for that?

In this case I liked starting with the uniform and kept the head detachable to paint it later. At other times I start with the face though. Not a real policy behind it! :)

Adrian

Thanks for the positive feedback guys!

:) I won’t forget!
Helmet is done. Now just the face, gun sling and the weapon. Getting there...

Thanks all,
Adrian
