Done this today. I dont know whether to stay with stones this colour, change them to a contrasting one. It's for a 120mm figure.

Carl,
They look OK to me - take it you used Vallejo? If you feel the need to contrast them slightly without too much work, why not give them a wash of Brown Glaze then lightly drybrush with Stone Grey or Light Sand. Just a thought.
Laters,
Chris.

I like Chris' suggestion. That would give it a bit more dimension, but it still looks very good. Did you build it from scratch or was it part of the kit?

This looks very good to me Carl, dark and earthy. I really like the colour, perhaps a bit of subtle highlighting on the larger stones could break it up a bit. You sure do keep yourself busy!
Can I ask where you got your tufts from?
cheers Mat

The stones are going into the groundwork. You hardly see that it are stones.
Some drybrushing with a lighter color will do. the job. But you gotta do something.

Matt. I believe the tuffs are from Fredericus Rex....they look that way.

This is looking good. I agree a bit more contrast in the rocks but don't overdo it, I always think it's better to stick to shades of a common colour.
The only real suggestion is the spacing of the grass clumps, they seem a bit dotted about, suggest you grourp some smaller clumps in odd numbers.
Regards
Derek
