Oh ma' gosh . . . Robert

Your sculpting of this most interesting piece came out so fine. One minor thing
that I really like about this figure is the "ties" that are blowing in the wind,
well, so to speak, from his wrist and from his leg. I feel those little
embellishments add so much to the over all appeal and character of this
finely sculpted piece. And here is the other point I would like to make. I
haven't seen this subject matter sculpted before. You have, as far as my
memory can determine, a unique figure. And that makes it even that
much more interesting. I haven't seen this before. I guess I'm
saying that having the only game in town, having something
unique is a very good thing.

At least that's my opinion. . . . and only an opinion,

Miami Jayhawk

Hello all,

Put on some base colors and started with the face. All painting is done with humbrols.

Here is a quick picture

Great Robert!

What will be on his T-shirt? Wich band? Sey Pistols? Toy Dols? Exploited? etc.. :D
I'm looking forward to see the finished scene.

Cheers,
Balázs

Great work so far Robert Jan,
For the T-shirt i should go for a picture off Blondie (deborah Harry). Yes, it was more New Wave, but not uncommon in the punk wave. And above that it is a challenge to paint here on the shirt.

Super work, Robert. Even just the base colours make this unique subject
come to life. I really admire anyone who can paint figures with all the subtle
shading with Humbrol enamels. I know that Bill Horan uses enamels. Wow,
some ways of doing things are just beyond my abilities.

Love the whole idea of this piece, because it is unique. No one else is doing
much of this kind of thing.

Thanks for all the great and motivating replies guys!

I am still thinking on what's got to go on the shirt. It will be a band logo, but i am still searching for ways to apply it. It wil probably be a decal, just like on a real shirt.

No Blondie in that scene Marc.....;)

Jaybird, i did try acrylics but i cant get used to them.

Then it must be the Sex Pistols.
It's just the English Flag. (sometimes with the Queen on it, sometimes not)

Marc

No english bands Marc, it will be an american hardcore band. I have to stay historically correct....;))
But thanks for the input.

Great start on the paintwork Robert Jan!
Looking forward to see the T-shirt painted.

Groeten,
Marcel.

That's funny, I was going to say Black Flag or the Cramps but figured no one would have heard of them.

I like it, I wish you had made copies of this figure, he is too cool.
