My attempt at the H&V figure of a private of Hartley's additional continental Regiment at the battle of
Brandywine Creek at Chadds Ford in September 1778.
A superb little figure and I am pleased with the outcome.

Very nice Bob! I specially like the wood on the gun. Could you share your recipe?? Thanks!

Thanks for the comment, really appreciate that. The colours for the gun's wooden furniture is a recipe copied from Smudger on here.
Basic colours are an undercoat of vallejo Tan earth, then stripes or wavy line's to simulate wood grain in AK interactive British uniform dark shadow 3083 . I did add a few black line's as well. Then the top coat is, burnt Umber oil paint. This was then rubbed off with a dry brush . I think Smudger did an SBS some time ago on this subject. I have just modified it for myself.
Hope that helps
Thanks again

Lovely piece Bob! I like a lot everything what you did and I'm glad that my piece inspired you to finish this excellent figure.
Special note for the groundwork. (y)
Cheers,
Zeno :)

Coming from a man of your talent, those words are really appreciated.
This is a 54mm figure, a bit small for me so will do some thing a little bigger next.
Thank you again, Zeno.
Best regards
