SUSSED IT, all it took was a coat of primer and a closer inspection. It turns out his right elbow was way too thin, as can be seen here;

So I set too with the Magicsculpt and sorted it, still looks a little skinny but is I think balanced bringing harmony to the figure. I'm quite happy with it now. Let me know what you think.

Let the putty dry, give him another coat of primer and it's brush time.

Brad and Malc, thanks gents, it's the sort of flaw I usually only see once I'm painting, way too late then. Looking at the tunic images I could spend a lot of time adding wrinkles etc to the cloth, then seen for real I think, 'no, way too small for that'.

Cheers Simon

Melanie, Brad, thanks guys, the paint is imminent just waiting for the primer to cure properly, but with my daughter and Granddaughter staying over because my son in law is going to Twickenham to watch England v Australia, lucky bugger.

There is always a fine line between enough and too much and in 54mm scale there really is not enough room.

Cheers Simon

The impediment has gone, poor lass she had to miss her rugby training, yes a four years old, because her father got totalled at Twickenham yesterday and apparently is far too delicate to help with the coaching! Youngsters these days no stamina!

Anyway this means I'm back at my desk and I have made a start on this worthy fellow, picture is rubbish especially his face which isn't quite finished. Also blocked in the main colours of the uniform.

Melanie, Kevin, thank you both. I try to have something to build as I paint and vice versa, but you know the score the best laid plans of mice and men. I will post my side project and a long slow project soon but I wish I could get the separation right! Hey ho such is life, as for my Granddaughter, if I'd known what a force of nature she is I'd have had the snip before her mother was born! That said I love her to bits, of course I do, even if she insists on calling the whole family by their given names!

Yeah I've been drinking.

Cheers Simon
