This is of course the Crusader by Historicart miniatures. I have not painted him as a crusader but as a warrior of heaven going in to defeat Satan. He has painted on his sheild the image of the beast that breeds fear. He is not afraid but proud to fulfill the writings in the book. The pictures are large if you click on them a couple of times. Let me know what you think.

I'm thinkin': GREAT whites. Beyond great shield. Excellent skintones. Excellent cape. Dern Mike, before I know you are going to know what you are doin' here!

Hey Mike,

You have indeed been very busy this summer. I agree the whites are very well done. It's a dark peice and I like it very much. Is this painted in both Oils and Acrylics

Thanks

Ya got me hooked Mike. I really dig the shield too, but I was noticing the great blending work going on with his tunic, very well done. Looks really good with the base and backdrop, the whole figure looks great!

Cheers, Ski.

Cool shield!

I have this one on the bench right now and like you, I've chickened out of trying to paint heraldic devices amid all those creases on the surcoat!

Lovely job all round though, the whites are superb.

Thinking he would see a figure of Latorre:lol: you show us this little gem that I saw in last Modelscala Pepe Gallardo paint for the box art.(y)
Great work all around Mike, nice whites and the shield is stunning.

Thanks for the comments gents, I appreciate it. For Mike Stevens; The figure is painted in acrylics. For Patrick; I can see what you mean about the contrast. When I added the shine to his face it kind of made some of it go away. I need to go back on top of it with some more highlites. For Steve Riley; This is the second time I painted this guy, I did a skewed cross the first time but on this guy I left it blank for the white represents purity. For Marc; yes he is a fantasy piece. So much more liberty with a fantasy subject. Fantasy lets me paint rather than study a book. for Pedro; thanks for the link, I'm going to watch that.

Thanks again!

Thanks for the kind comments. For Mr. barton; I do not know how to use an air brush, I wish I did. I painted the evil with a small brush.
