Second figure finished, only one more to go!

Both arms fully sculpted and cuirasse strapped on. I'm happier with the pose of this fella, he's holding his sword more or less correctly for the charge.

I repaired his spurs a couple of times but have broken one again so I'll leave that detail to the painting phase. He is also missing the hand guard for his sword, this is to allow me to more easily paint his hand before it is added at the painting phase.

Other than that he is good to go and was a damn sight less hassle than the general with all his added bling.

So it's time to start the trumpeter soon.

Anybody see any glaring errors please let me know as I will have not seen them.

That's looking really good. Lovely animation. Just make sure you have the other figures positioned like this, not waving their swords around. Cuirassiers used the point of their swords in the charge as it was a long, lance-like weapon not designed for cutting and slashing.

If you want to get really nit-picky, you should try to have the hand positioned so the thumb is parallel to the ground, not sticking up vertically, as that is the best way to charge with the sword. But I am sure in reality their hands would move around a fair bit so that really is a minor point. Just don't have them waving their swords around...... 😉

Many thanks Nigel, I'm still learning with this, I have only ever done static relaxed poses in the past. If I were a perfectionist I'd go back and redo the Generals arm, but some that for a game of soldiers.

The next figure is a Trumpeter, sword will be hanging by the sword knot but he'll be blowing like Billy O through his trumpet. I really don't think there is enough room for a fourth figure on the base and since I have already made that I ain't changing it now.
