Here's a brief update of my WIP Saxon

Hi,

I don't post much in here because I'm a slow painter! Work and other things are taking all my time but sometime I get the chance to sit at my workbench and I start to work on my multiple unfinished projects!!!

Anyway, here is the lastest work on my Saxon. I started this project last january and it is unfinished. I used oils and I dunno why but on the picture, it looks very bad. Almost to the point where it is painted with a big bad brush!!!!

Anyway I thought I could share this with you. I made a few changes on the shield. I used some putty trying to get a rough surface like if it was covered with leather.

Still have to finished the base.

Clarence - That looks really nice! Could you get a bit closer and put a single color background behind the figure? The blurry background colors make me dizzy! No, actually, come to think about it I was dizzy before looking at your figure. Must have been that third IPA.....

Ok, a little update with the base

Thanks for the nice comments. By the way, I will take better pictures in the future.

Anyway, here is a little update with the base. I wanted to have something a little bit different than earth. So, I decided to make the front end of a boat. Here's the pics:
