Hi Colin,the stem will be black mate,I have black stems on all my busts and the underneath will also be black mateHi Brian....just a thought.....gave you considered going flat black on the bust support and top of the plinth to reduce the visibility of the figure as a bust when observing through the front window? Just an idea for you to consider. Cheers
