Just received this very nice figure from the Russian company Himini. Russian Officer, c. 1707 - 1713. 75mm.
All parts in a lovely little wooden box. Two hats, one with lace edging. For help in setting the scene, we have a table with map, ink well, pistol, gloves, and pipe.
Seemingly there was no regulation for officers uniforms. So, green or red are the obvious coat colours, but white or blue are possibilities. We shall see.
I bought mine from El Greco Miniatures in the UK. Very fast delivery, much appreciated.

Thanks for the review Andrew! We are glad that you liked our miniature. When creating the miniature, we relied on verified historical sources and the advice of historians. In the army of Peter the Great at the beginning of the 18th century, there really was liberty and variety in uniform. In particular, the officer figurine that you received depicts a guards officer where at the beginning of the century the statutory uniform was applied and the colors were regulated. Below are a few images that we recommend to use in painting.

Sincerely, Vladimir

Good review of what looks like a nifty kit Andrew. Almost included it with my last order, but held back. I may get him next time.

Thank you for the feedback Vladimir, looks like it’s green for the coat then. Just as well my next project is a Napoleonic Russian subject in a green coat. Practice makes perfect!.
That’s after I finish the two Roman figures I’m labouring with now. Started as “light relief”, they have turned out to be far more complex than anticipated. One lion skin to go...
