Historical or fantasy?

For our club figure for the year, I've been working on a conversion that is a rather obvious anachronism. It's still a Rev War guy - I just changed the pose a bit. Any thoughts on what category he would be - historical or fantasy? Or is he whatever I want him to be? :D
 
Hmm that is a tough call ;)

Maybe "Alternate History"? They pull out that plot device often in video games...

Or... history(-ical) has already happened, only sci-fi/fantasy can make it plausible?

Too bad they don't have alternative history categories at shows. ;)

Good point.
I think that many of the figures clasified as "historical" at the shows are absolutely "alternative history".
Some examples: Braveheart, Maximo Decimo, Leonidas and many more inspired by movie characters and with little to do with the real look of the historical people.
This is why these categories don't like me at shows.

Just a thought, but how about a "What if" category for best concept model.
