That battle is big for our neighbors 'Up North' . This past Summer I once again visited an 1812 battlefield on Mackinac Island. It remains much as it was back then. It was a total victory for the Brits.
I noticed that on a different post that you mentioned French & Indian War re-enactors. One of my friends locally, Tim Todish, is a world reknown expert on 'Roger's Rangers'. If you ever need any questions answered on that outfit feel free to send me an e-mail and I will hook you up with Tim.

The Battle of Cryslers Farm is a big deal to our neighbors to the North (big Brit victory I believe). This past Summer I visited the War of 1812 battlefield on Mackinac Island for a second time. It apparently is pretty much the way it was (absent the farm) at the time of the battle.
I noticed that you had a post re the French & Indian War re-enactors. One of the leading authorities on Roger's Rangers, Tim Todish, is a friend of mine and lives nearby. If ever need information on that unit please send me an e-mail and I'll hook you up with Tim.
