I use the Rathcore holders, but find the metal cover thing intrusive, and sometimes the wooden handle seems too nice to beat up...well, I found the corks pressfit perfectly into a citadel water pot...allowing a secure hold that seems just right for bigger pieces....wouldn’t suggest anyone run out and buy just for this, but with GW stuff being pricey, and my mainly using oils..seemed a worthwhile repurposing..

The bases of the holders fit the water pot sockets on the Citadel workstation too. Must admit, I am a big fan of these holders. I have two of these now one with the 90mm and one with the 70mm supports. I don’t find the supports get in the way, in fact, I never take them off when painting. Using them has become very intuitive.

I also like the Rathcore miniature grips. The handles provide a firm grip, and the metal supports are great for steadying my hand when painting lines and fine detail. I have the 70mm, and have just purchased the 50mm and 90mm.

This is a great idea. I bought some cheap large diameter corks and used these as temporary base holders.
