The Seminary Ridge Museum( owned by the Seminary) in Gettysburg will no longer allow re-enactors to display the Confederate Flag. Obviously this is not even in the South.
Don Troiani posted the history of the Confederate Flag on his website this week and took some questions. I guess to educate some people but I feel he's just preaching to the choir.
Nascar announced this week they will vigoursly pursue eliminating Confederate Flags from their races. Talk about cutting your own throat.:nailbiting:
Some memorials have been spray painted this week. Pulling all the memorials down in Richmond won't leave it empty, there will still be one of Arthur Ashe.:rolleyes:

The worst thing that ever happened to the South was the murder of Abraham Lincoln, and I will still play my old vinyl record of "The Blue and the Grey" which will never be released on CD because it was by The Black and White Minstrels :(. I'm now going to get on with some work and play Dixie on the MP3 player:).

will go and hide them now behind anything that could be regarded as political correct in my cabinet - looking at the other models of crusaders, rebellious scots, WWII-Germans, Roman and British Imperialists it will become a hard task:(.

The KKK has just announced a rally Jul 19 at the SC Statehouse to support "white rights". These living in momma's basement turds are just going to throw fuel on the fire.
There was a discussion on the World Expo site on whether the flag will be allowed on exhibits. There doesn't seem to be any problem there as expected.

In Canada, gun laws are extremely strict, yet in the first half of this year, guns crimes in Toronto are triple what they were at the same time last year. The answer is not to legislate the inanimate object but to severely punish those who use those weapons in the commitment of crimes. Make the sentence so huge that the idiots would think twice before they shoot someone for looking at them the wrong way.

Unfortunately, there's no way to legislate or deter a psychopath... If he couldn't get a gun, then a knife, a car, a bomb, hell a big stick... they'll get find a way to get their crazy out.

And on top of it all... a flag, or a song or a movie didn't make this guy commit this horror... he did it all on his own.

Sorry my friend. I completely disagree with just about everything you have written here. But I still like your models. And I will even buy you a beer to add to Steve's.
 
These people know nothing of their own history,Lee never personaly owned a slave and was upset at not being able to free his late father in laws slaves before the war started and Stonewall Jackson ran a Sunday school to teach slaves to read admitedly so they could read the bible but it could have resulted in both of them going to prison, most of the rank and file confederate soldiers had never seen a slave untill they joined the army.anyway it was reconstruction that caused most of the hatered that now exists.Rant over:)

Superb historical information. As it doesn't suit the PC mob they will probably censor it. Equally the other extreme will also censor it as it doesn't coincide with their picture of how things should have be.

As an aside Stonewall's parents came from near Brecon in mid Wales when they discovered under the hearthstone of the cottage where they lived a horse's skull - a Druid custom to bring good fortune to those who lived in the house. Okay enough diversion from the topic,

That's exactly what our society is SUPPOSED to be like... you are allowed to have your opinion and I'm allowed mine and even if they are opposed, I will defend your right to be wrong (;)) with my last breath. That's what it is about the PC morality police that twists me the most... your allowed your opinion as long as you tow the fashionable line, otherwise you're censored and labelled some kind of "ist" or "phobic" and shouted down and bullied until to fall into line:censored: . Stinks of some kind of "ism" to me.

Anyways, you must've known our politics would have been diametrically opposed from day one... this hobby brings together all kinds... even an educated left-winger and a blue collar right-winger can swim in the same pool LOL
