A Fixture
Having recently finished my 95th Rifleman bust I decided to keep the green theme going and mixed up a few different tones. These were used on my version of a stunning new bust, sculpted by Carl Reid and produced by CGS Military Figures. It is beautifully sculpted and the detail is amazing. The animation and crisp casting makes it a bust worthy of any collection.
I decided to attach the arms to the main body, keeping the the head and pelisse separate for painting. A good dry fit is essential before painting. This makes sure everything is a snug fit when you bring it all together ( not damaging the paintwork )
I concentrated on the braiding in small sections at a time, correcting mistakes as I went along. Take your time and I am sure you will be pleased with your efforts.
The last pieces to attach were the hands. The sabre is cast in white metal, which was a bonus for me as I used an old fashioned method of burnishing it with the side of a darning needle
( no painting ) . I was really pleased with the results. Think I'll call this one completed.......
