Hi guys
We will be moving around August staying in the area just getting something bigger ,
I intend to have a designated man cave lol ,I have ideas for what I want but obviously dimensions etc for bench / storage will be detemined by the size of what I have to work with any ideas that I can incorporate would be great if any one has built benches etc.
Cheers Chris

Chris,
Moving eh ...well I reckon you need a chair and desk minimum of 6ft , access to power somewhere to have a spray booth and a picky booth ...oh and a big tin for the biscuits .

Hope the move goes well mate

Looking forward to seeing the new cave

How about a hammock ...save valuable floor space instead of a bed ...more space for storage .........

Bookshelves ...lots....oh and a coffee machine ....

A really comfortable chair .......

A phone too ring downstairs when you are ready to have your food brought up !!!!!

Get packing. Mate...and planning

Chris it all boils down to available space and budget! ... I have just bought a replacement bench ! although some that I saw had me slobbering ! but were unfeasible:arghh::cry:

Mark

Chris,

One thing that has made my hobby life a lot easier is transparent plastic boxes with clip-on lid. All my stuff, inluding grey army is distributed over about 25 of them (about 30x35x20cm w/b/h) sorted by categorie: bases, groundwork/diorama stuff, paints, glues, tools, etc. Even my airbrush and compressor fit in two boxes. Tools I put in low height IKEA boxes designed for food storage; 8 of those go into a big box.
Result is that all my stuff is packed in equal sized modular units that I can stack any way I want. Because the boxes are transparent I can find everything quickly. And it's all very easy to move, don't even need those cardboard boxes anymore. It also keeps the man cave tidy and easy to clean.
Using the boxes really was a breakthrough for me; before I was always looking for stuff and at some point didn't start modelling/painting because of all the 'logistics'.

Good luck with the move.

Cheers,
Adrian

I'm with Mark, lights and more lights! Our study has plenty of natural light coming in throughout the day. There is a ceiling fan with four lights at the center of the room and four can lights, two over the desk and two more over the opposite side.
