Well as for yours truly.
Mick = my first name I always use Mick as my first Name is Micheal yes eal NOT ael Why because the plank that filled in my original Birth Cert couldn't spell and spelt it Micheal. So I have kept it that way. It does course problems.
3272 = Is in memory of my Dad who's last four were 3272
So mick3272 it is.

I'm Tony Dawe and always will be. I'm happy to let everyone know who I am.

Wibble is just wibble.

Anyone who knows Blackadder Goes Forth will get it, but my avatar isn't an attempt to hide my identity. It's just a bit of a laugh.

I don't mind the use of nicknames and avatars. It's not something new with the Internet, either--remember the CB radio craze from the Seventies? Radio operators use a "handle" to identify themselves.

As far as recognizing each other at events is concerned, it's easy enough to print yourself a badge using Word or some other app, and wearing it as desired to any show. I've done that, for some of the forums I belong to.

I chose my handle based on my interests and my background. "TheBaron" was a natural choice.

Prost!
Brad

I agree about the avatars that it gives individuality and shows somewhat personality. Again I do like to know who I am conversing with and know where they are from in the world.

The Germanic first or given name Richard derives from German, French, and English "ric" (ruler, leader, king, powerful) and "hard" (strong, brave, hardy), and it therefore means "strong in rule". Nicknames include "Dick", "Dicky", "Dickie", "Rich", "Richie", "Rick", "Ricky", "Rickey", and others.

So taken from the above - Richie or I'm King Dick of the Chimps. (now awaiting a broadside of insults - you know who you are Yorkshire Highwayman)

My avatar reflects where I am from. NOT United Kingdom as shown under my avatar (mods) but British West Hartlepool and we swiftly deal with little hairy Napoleonic Frenchmen. Even old Adolf did not want to come here - you just check out youtubes Hitler's Christmas Party in Hartlepool:cool:

cheers
El Chimpance

oooops King Dick of the Chimps

oooops
Richie;)

By your late replying, nearly 30 minutes! Did you sleep in or have you been out waving your pistol:rolleyes::LOL:

The recent opening of the A1 upgrade between Leeeming and Catterick has made Highway Robbery increasingly difficult round here and the local roads are a waste of time, still a bit of pistol waving early on a morning is always good for a laugh.

Well, well well ......... look who's here.

So to continue our conversation from the other thread: let me see if I have the full picture.

The idea is to go to Greece; dress up in national garb comme Byron; hypnotise some local beauties; douse yourself in Ouzo; stuff the space left with Baklava; chase goats (after all a man cannot survive on sweet pastries alone) and in between earn a few Drachmen by threatening a few old pensioners in remote mountain villages with a rusty Yatagan and fiersome moustache.

Until 5 minutes ago I was convinced you were genuinly persuing a revival of 19th Century Romanticism.

Does you dog know all this?:D:D:troll::wacky::happy:
