A pleasure to read and watch as ever.

We all seem to have a secondary hobby called smuggling past SWMBO. Brilliant - I got caught recently but I've found a way around that one - send them to my mum's in Wales and pick them up when I visit. My mum hasn't realsied what I'm doing as I do it to save on postage charges ;)

Cheers

Thanks Huw. I haven't resorted to those kind of tactics yet. I usually take it on the chin and roll out the usual phrase of "I just needed these ones to complete a set, I won't buy anymore until I've painted the ones I've got" Neither of us believe it.
I look upon it as a little personal victory when I can get them in and I don't have to face the withering look and have to mumble some kind of embarrassed explanation like a 15 year old rather than a 51 year grown bloke. :D

This should be a colourful little display when finished and something a bit more unique than the same old stuff the Napoleonic buffs roll out. :troll::D

(That should get a reaction. :playful: )

Sorta the same reaction as if they had ingrown toenails and you jumped on the big toe with both cowboy boots! :woot:

All the best,
Dan

I'm 52 and feel exactly the same....

I'm just cleaning off the flash from the casting process and thought I would post some close up's so you can see the quality of a couple of these 30mm figures.

Now for a dumb question and I've no shame so I will plough ahead anyway. I've got some flats and never done any before... any special things to look out for when cleaning up or special tricks you use?

Cheers

Just a set of needle files and a sharp blade is all you need Huw but be very careful when cleaning up sword blades, bayonets and stuff like that as it is pretty easy to snap them. Oh and be careful with noses and shako peaks, I've removed them on occasion due to over zealous filing.

Ok thanks - so more or less the same as round figures. Thought I'd get it clea rin my mind.

Cheers
